A TRIBUTE TO HONORARY DIGNITARIES
29 April 2025

The Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne organized a ceremony on April 28, at the G.H. Mumm House to confer the title of Honorary Dignitary on several of its members, in recognition of their commitment to the bacchic guild.

Through this innovative initiative, Commandeur François-Xavier Morizot delivered a personalized message to each Honoree:

Carol Duval-Leroy, a member since 1995, has contributed to the renewal of women in the Ordre.

Emmanuel de La Giraudière, a member since 1990, has served as Master of Ceremonies.

Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, a member since 1984, 13th Commandeur of the Ordre from 2009 to 2011.

Alain Robert, a living memory of the Ordre since 1970.

Vincent Brochet, a member since 1999, has a unique story with a famous cartoonist: Hergé, who named his Champagne "Brochet" in the original version of the album Tintin: Destination Moon... but a colorist later intervened on the production, adding a red ribbon – the iconic symbol of the Mumm House.

Franck Leroy, engaged for 25 years, who advocates for the industry through his public responsibilities.

Jean-Marie Barillère and Didier Depond could not attend this event but were also warmly thanked.

This distinction is a testament to our deep gratitude for their dedication and valuable contribution to the life of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne during their tenure.
